MAINTENANCE LEATHER FURNITURE

Important tips for leather treatment:

  • Dust your furniture and weekly maintenance from day one with the Leolux cleaning water (except Nubuck). This will remove skin oils that are on headrests and armrests attaching and affect the leather on term. See the packaging for the correct frequency.
  • Take with a cotton cloth right away on what spills out, so moisture doesn't get the chance in the leather.
  • Do not place leather furniture in direct sunlight. Leather can dry out or discolor.
  • Place your leather furniture never too close to a stove, fireplace or radiator CV. Leather can dry out locally and shrinks making cracking is possible. The wooden hull would be able to pull or tear.
  • Provide the right humidity (50-60%). The natural product leather feels the best when they return home.

Maintenance Nubuck leather (Suave)

We recommend for this learn to type some reluctance at the maintenance. One service per year or every two years is normally sufficient. A special cleaner for nubuck leather is available at Van Waay interiors.

Periodic maintenance

Maintenance products keep the leather supple and prevent dehydration. The means and Anilinecare are standard Ecocare transparent. Ecocare is also on color available. The colors are matched to the leather collection. In most cases it is sufficient to the use of the transparent medium. A colored medium is recommended if (part of) your furniture is discolored by excessive sunlight or wear.

The treatment is simple: a few drops on a cotton cloth and rub in. After a short drying period Polish off with a dry cotton cloth. Please note that pressure or never rub too hard because that can cause unnecessary wear to the leather. Test the product the first time on an inconspicuous area.

MAINTENANCE WOOD FURNITURE

Wood veneer is a natural product with all the associated properties. No veneer sheet, how skillfully also stabbed or peeled, is identical. Finish and maintenance

The veneers are supplied in various tones and can be provided with different stain colors. In all cases, they are painted with a white epoxy in matte or satin.

Maintenance is limited to normal cleaning with a damp cloth and degreasing agents.

No means with an abrasive effect.

Please note that Wood discolor under the influence of daylight. Cherry is redder and oak more yellow. Solid wood

A table of solid wood is a natural product. Unlike veneered tables, where a thin layer of wood veneer is applied on a panel of MDF, is not only the layer of wood. Although "solid" not to say that the table top or the legs are manufactured in one piece, because wood "works" inevitable.

Maintenance of oiled wood

  • The oil used for oiling wood, cleans and protects the wood and the grain comes even more beautiful. However, your table is more vulnerable to stains and moisture than a lacquered table. Therefore, take spills away immediately.
  • For daily maintenance it is sufficient to take off the table with a dry or damp cloth. Treat your table regularly with the supplied oil, or with good quality teak oil. Apply the oil with a thin cloth on a clean, dry table. Wipe with a dry cloth.
  • Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaners.
  • Light scratches and smudges treats you gently with a scouring pad in the direction of the grain. Then again applying oil.
  • A maintenance kit for solid wood is available at Van Waay interiors.

Note: do not place hot objects (pans) directly on the wood. This creates circles that no longer to remove.

MAINTENANCE SUBSTANCES FURNITURE

General

Any substance can discolor under the influence of light. Brightly colored and dark fabrics suffer the most here. Post your furniture therefore preferably not in direct sunlight.

Also upholstery fabrics with natural fibers, and in particular woollen fabrics, stand to benefit from the right humidity (50-60%).

Do not allow children to play on the furniture with shoes on. Buckles and heels can permanently damage the tissue. Do not let pets on your furniture or scratching to the upholstery.

The warranty on materials expires after treatment with a dirt-resistant coating.

Major repairs (average 1 x per year).

Maintenance

For the regular maintenance it is sufficient to clean weekly with the vacuum cleaner. To do this, use a soft brush to prevent damage to the fibers.

Stains that do not disappear at regular maintenance are good with water and SOAP (neutral) to remove:

Do not use too much water. The underlying foam may be damaged if it is soaked. Replace the water as soon as it is dirty.

At least three times after cleaning wash off with clean water. There should be no SOAP left behind. That causes accelerated pollution.

Repeat the treatment.

Please note that dyes from new clothing is very tricky to remove. Make sure your clothing dyes no longer.
